Left the thing in the sun a little too long, while I listened to a podcast about artificial intelligence. More specifically, it was a RadioLab episode in which they discussed the interesting emotional connections people make to technology that exhibits human-like traits. Kids with Furbies, that sort of thing.
Or iPhones.
